CEJA UC Essential Needs Research Grant Program

The CEJA Basic Needs Research Grant Program provides UC faculty and professional research staff with funding up to $100,000 to support basic needs research related to student food and housing insecurity. Priority is given to research that is conducted in partnership with campus basic needs units. Proposals are reviewed by a systemwide committee of UC faculty and researchers with expertise in student basic needs. The next call will be offered in September 2025 for a Jan 1, 2026 start date.
